About Us

Mary Lucas, owner of The Prenatal Picture, is also a mother of two young children. She has a master's degree in Child Development and Family Relations from East Carolina University, is a Licensed Professional Counselor in North Carolina and is a member of the Society of Diagnostic Sonographers.. She has worked with children and families in both public service and in private practice. To her, children and families are more than just an interest; it's been a life dedication to provide support, nurturing and education to new moms and their families.

Mary contributes monthly to seminars at local hospitals, parenting classes, maternity and baby retailers as well as individual doctor's offices. She discusses the benefits of prenatal bonding to mother, father and siblings-to-be. Mary says her desire is to provide services and resources that offer a partnership with women in order to maximize their prenatal and postnatal experiences. As women, we must take charge of our lives, enjoy its journeys, taking hands with one another and encourage each other to celebrate the lives we live!
